I was introduced to the English language at the age of 7.5 through Viola Bolbás Napsugár, with whom I still have a very special and deep friendship. My love for language learning stems from her personality and the fact that she immediately became my role model. From the very beginning, learning the language gave me a lot of self-confidence and, with it, the intuition to overcome the challenges and obstacles of communication on a daily basis. Viola is a teacher who has never disappointed me.
Incidentally, English is still an integral part of my daily life.
My secondary school studies, including my further studies in English, were undertaken at the English-language class at the Babits Mihály High School in Újpest. There, I met Ilona Somodiné Nagy, an excellent English Language Teacher who had a decisive influence on my future. She taught me not only academic knowledge, but also humanity, for which I am very grateful. I consider this to be extremely important for my future career. Over the years, I have come to realise that Teacher Ilona is a kind of „Guardian Angel” who has always been by my side.
In February 2014, while still at school, I participated in an exchange programme in Amersfoort, the Netherlands. There, with the help of experts, we discussed issues related to Third World problems. A film was made about our joint work and lifelong friendships were formed.
Thanks to excellent mentoring of my teacher Ilona Somodiné Nagy I won several national English competitions during my time at school.
I am particularly proud of my first-place finish in the English language category of the National General Competition held by the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Pázmány Péter Catholic University Pázmány Péter (Budapest) 2016.
Beyond the result, I found the competition process particularly interesting.
For my achievements in English language competitions and my excellent grades, in 2016:
– In June, I got award from the Representative Body of the Local Government of Újpest, District IV of Budapest (decision No. 93/2016 (IV. 28.)) as Outstanding Student of Újpest.
– In September, I became a beneficiary of the Scholarship for Young Talents of the Nation (announced by the Human Resources Support Management Agency on behalf of the Ministry of Human Resources; application ID: NTP-NFTÖ-16-0610; EPER ID: EMET-2016-292776).
As a point of interest, I would like to mention the following two thoughts, which I wrote in my application for the Scholarship for Young Talents of the Nation in 2016:
– In addition to self-development, developing and helping others is my daily goal in the future as well. I love people and I believe that helping each other develop is an extraordinary and especially beautiful task.
– I love challenges and I can imagine psychology and kinesiology as my future profession. My motto: “There is no such thing as a problem without a gift for you in its hands. You seek problems because you need their gifts.” (Richard Bach)
If we consider thoughts as precursors of actions, then the following subheading „follows” from the above…
In June 2020, I became a beneficiary for the second time of the Scholarship for Young Talents of the Nation (announced by the Human Resources Support Management Agency on behalf of the Ministry of Human Resources; application ID: NTP/667/2020; number:
NTP-NFTÖ-20-B-0131; EPER ID: EPER-2020-236118) in the category of psychology-sciences.
As a result of the research, the following publication was released at the end of 2021:
Mental disorders, physical paths. SomatoDrama pilot study. Algorithmic analysis of ten intervention processes.
Applying relatively small but multidimensional analysis I carried out the work with the support of my Master, Prof. Dr. Emőke Bagdy, and the developer of the SomatoDrama® method, Dr. László Buda.
As a result of further work on this material, the following book was published in Hungarian by Medicina Publishing House in February 2024: The Message of Our Soul Through the Pathways of Our Body: The SomatoDrama Effect Model (the title of the Hungarian publication is: Lelkünk üzenete testünk útjain- A SzomatDráma-hatásmodell, Medicina Kiadó, 2024).
Further details regarding the book published in Hungarian can be found in the frame of this link: https://uvegesanna.hu/konyv/.
And now the English version of the Hungarian book is on the horizon: Understanding the Mind through Bodily Experience: The SomatoDrama Effect Model will be available for pre-order from February 18, 2026.
For me, this book is not merely an academic work: it is an inner Camino, a rebirth… a story of healing. Not only in theory, but in practice as well. Through the journey of my own life.
I am profoundly grateful to Routledge Books for the months of intense work, shared reflection, and support I have experienced as an author in this process.
Dr Laszlo BUDA, Dr Balazs LAZAR, Dr Arpad KANTOR, Dr Szabolcs TAKACS, Dr Pálma Virág FEHER, Adrienn RÉDL, and Mária KELEMENNÉ MIKO – You are not only professional, but also deeply human pillars of the path I am now walking… and the path we are walking together with this book. I believe your voices are the true jewels of this creation…
And the foundations… the beginning: my heartfelt thanks to Medicina Publishing, who, by bringing forth the Hungarian edition, gave wings to something I never dreamed could travel so far. Within me, within others… and now it seems, soon within anyone in the world who feels called by what it carries… “Quo vadis SomatoDrama? The journey begins here.”

The English book brings together my favorite subjects, which are the cornerstones of my professional career: the English language and the Psychology.
I really didn’t think about this when I applied for scholarships back then.
My heart is filled with joy and gratitude when I think about this wonderful story…
“The only power that has any real meaning is the power to better the world.”
