ART

On this page, I would like to give you a small taste of what the experience of creating art can give you in terms of self-knowledge. For this, I used a selection of my works made over the past ten years. These works greatly contributed to the birth of my self-developed, body-focused art therapy method. With the descriptions of my personal experiences found under the portraits and paintings, I would like to bring the healing power of art to our physical and mental processes closer to those who consider this approach novel. If you feel like it, take a virtual walk through my gallery.

My roots

There are personal ties to the Greek temple shown in the painting. Through the picture, it is mainly South Slavic that I received from my father to my roots I am related, whose ancestors live in Vranje, southern Serbia. My father was baptized in a Greek-Orthodox church in accordance with the Orthodox culture. To this day, I am in love with the culture I received from him, the music, dances, food and the magic of the Balkan effervescence of Yugoslavia, Serbia and Montenegro.

The man

For me, the character that inspires the portrait reflects the quality of a mature, integrated man who goes beyond himself and accepts his emotions, who is also in friendship with his depths, but at the same time does not deny his pains and struggles. During the creation, the most exciting part for me was when I worked with the element of water. The man drops of water flowing from his face washed over me too, and while drawing I recognized the part of me that permissively turns to his own difficult feelings and bravely immerses himself in them, then gains strength again.

Wrapped in love

The work is meant to reflect the mother-child relationship with a very simple, yet expressive and symbolic moment in terms of connection. It's no secret that making it was also part of my self-knowledge work with my inner child. The face of the small child in the portrait reflects the effects of the war and the subsequent bombing in my native country in the early period of my life on my childish spirit, the fear that cannot be expressed in words. The mother's face devoted to her little one, her eyes merging into one another, mean holding, connection and security to me.

After a lull

The title and energy of the portrait embrace themes that were current in my life at the time, centered around awakening my own power, radical honesty, and expressing intense emotions. In the picture, self-representing, self-confident, yet vulnerable and sensitive female qualities appear at the same time. In my own self-awareness, the experience of my strength and the integration of my anger are of central importance to this day. Through drawing, I always look at myself from a new point of view, as a self-aware person and at my fellow human beings, who are working on similar topics as me.

Summer road

Just making the painting energized me. Freedom, vital energy, peace and tranquility come to life in it at the same time. The swinging female character symbolizes the beauty and naturalness inherent in the cycle of life and nature, the "once up and once down" lawfulness of life's wave nature. Its important message for me is that we have the opportunity to dampen the swings and freedom also refers to the fact that you can get off that particular swing if you experience not much freedom in it, but rather vulnerability.

The Woman in me

I worked on this work for almost half a year before it took shape in its entirety. The lengthy elaboration is no accident. Making a portrait involves making a serious decision that fundamentally determines my life and my further progress. It is interesting that the most time-consuming detail of the picture was the elaboration of the sitting surface and the legs holding the woman. As soon as I arrived at the peace resulting from my decision and the first seeds of security appeared from the loss of ground, I was able to finish the work. THE "she grows in me" he can create security for himself and tries to awaken this creative power in others as well. It is consciously present in care. He can flow, but he also pays attention to his limits.

Of course (EP album cover for Vihar Után Postrock Zenekar)

The representation of natural elements hidden in the human body is close to my heart not only as an artist, but also as an observer. In my approach, man is not a part of nature, but lies in it nature, with all its legality. The wisdom of this also permeates the female figure visible in the work, which also appeared on the projector in the clips made for the songs heard on the Vihar Után Nässigkeit EP disc within the framework of the V. Hungarian Clip Review.

Our spiritual eyes and attention

No matter how trite it sounds, "the eye is the mirror of the soul", I consider it an evergreen truth. The work was originally created at the request of the founder of the KaFiBi SzomatoDráma Center, Tamás Sándorfi, and decorates the Center's website. The look in the picture is why he got the Our spiritual eyes title, because it radiates significance, strength and empathy. Just as there is an artistic level to self-expression and speech, so too, I believe, to attention. If we really pay attention to someone, we can save their life.

Prayer

Creating with a pitt pencil is one of the most exciting artistic processes for me. My favorite is the perception of shapes emerging on a dark background. I experience the process as similar to the low points that appear in my own self-knowledge and the rebirth from them. Just like the white pastel and pastel shades on the black cardboard, even in my darkest moments, there is always a ray of light that I can reach out to. The Prayer it refers to my connection with my faith, to the vibrating power of the Universe and God within us, with the help of which even seemingly insurmountable challenges can be overcome and overcome.

Hair study

In the symbolism of the body, hair is associated with the strength, life energy and instincts that lie dormant in us. This work was specially created by a hair I made it in an art training group based on the theme of this book, and in accordance with the reports mentioned above, it was an excellent opportunity to observe how I connect with my inherent strength and instincts. To what extent do I give them validity and space? As an Interested Onlooker who is currently spending time with this work, these questions may also appeal to you...

Growing Moon

THE Growing Moon The portrait means to me femininity, the cycles that pervade female existence, and the spiritual-physical variability that accompanies them. Making it is also a fond memory for me, because it was an exciting inner journey when processing my own femininity, the themes built around it. For me, the portrait lends both mystery and naturalness, and in my own life, as a woman, I feel these in the foreground.

The Visegrád Citadel

It's fascinating to me that sepia-tinted images can be animated not only with a camera and various "effects", but also with your own hands using the pastel technique, and even though you can choose from a much narrower color palette to capture their color scheme, this simplicity seems to give you more freedom in the creative process. The Visegrád Citadel its charm and uniqueness are expressed even more for me in this atmosphere that evokes old photographs

In the space of the heart

For me, the magic of the watercolor technique is most evident when the drop of paint finds its way on the canvas. With this process, it is exciting to observe how much we allow the shades to flow freely with the help of water, that is, how much we let the creation reveal itself. In the space of the heart this freedom is reflected. The flow of energies inside and outside, the exploding vitality, the inner axis, the relieved emotions and the joy of dissolution. The specialty of the work is that I hardly ever used a brush during its creation, rather I worked with the flow and splattering methods.

The bridge of love

The bridge of love I consider my acrylic painting, made with a paint knife, as my own creed, which I feel is extremely important in my practice and in my own life. The bridge, as a symbol of connection, is also a channel for the expression of love in the painting. It depends on us how we flow love towards each other through this channel. It may not be easy, because inside we feel that something is blocking this flow. Either in giving or in receiving. On the bridge of love, these pauses also have their place, and the possibility of healing is also given if we dare to step on it.

Butterflies are free

The so-called newsprint technique is a special creative process associated with the name of Loui Jover, an Australian artist born in the former Yugoslavia, and one of my favorites. Butterflies are free I originally created this work during the COVID-19, for the Art Competition of the Károli Gáspár Református University, which I won. The title of the work refers to my state of mind at the time and my way of coping: despite the isolation and virtual connection, I strove to experience my inner freedom as fully as possible. In this, reading, drawing, music and physical training combined with yoga supported me the most. My final exam in psychology, which was timed at that time, was particularly challenging. The butterfly, as a symbol of psychology and the soul, was also included in the process for this reason, as a motif that is dear to my heart and supports my sense of inner freedom. All of this revolves around a female character in whom I think I can discover myself somewhere.

The inner child

The key word for the creation of the work was the relationship. It is an honor that the portrait is also a decorative element of the website of the KaFiBi SzomatoDráma Központ. In the hug, your own is raised with our inner child an intimate connection can be formed, an expression of unconditional acceptance and love for our parts of self. Embracing the vulnerable, wounded inner child can open new doors towards ourselves and our environment. While drawing, I observed which part of me would need this holding and a heartfelt hug. The thought experiment itself was a truly transformative experience and brought me closer to my inner child. The work deepened this closeness even more.

Metamorphosis

This portrait combines the most common themes in my artwork: femininity, physical and mental healing, its motifs and natural elements. THE metamorphosis, the transformation and unfolding process is symbolized by the butterfly resting in the lady's hair. And the posture of the female figure is the transition that I experience in myself during important decisions and changes. A positive expectation, hope and the excitement of this, in which my doubts also become stronger. When the desired state or goal is already born in my mind, there is a high chance of its realization, but my body still has to catch up with my soul, because the decision is still maturing in me and I am looking for the feeling in myself, with which I can move in the direction of the desired image. There is something uplifting and special about this transition. Perhaps it is precisely that it is possible to love when we are waiting for ourselves or for someone else. That there is time to wait for the right moment and it is a real gift when we are given space for this from the other.
