Everything I have ever written or shared with the world has been guided by one simple thought: if it brings something meaningful into the life of even one person, then every hour, every effort, and every bit of energy devoted to it has been worthwhile. If that is the case, then perhaps I have been able to contribute, in some small way, to the greater good. Over the years, I have often been asked why I have never ventured into content creation. While I truly appreciate the suggestion – and have great respect for those who genuinely thrive in that space – it has never been the path that resonated with me. I have always believed that the people and opportunities I am meant to meet somehow find their way to me, algorithms or not…
Perhaps this is one reason why I find it difficult to put into words the honor of having been invited to speak at the 5th International Conference on Addiction & Psychiatry, organized by the Atlanta-based SCI Synopsis and to be held in Budapest in late September 2026, where I will have the opportunity to present for the first time the English version of my book—based on the Hungarian original— or, more precisely, the research discussed therein: From Experience to Evidence: Introducing the SomatoDrama Effect Model – A Pilot Effectiveness Study of SomatoDrama.
The audience will include internationally recognised experts in medicine and the natural sciences, so I suppose I have every reason to feel a little nervous. Then again, anyone who knows me also knows that I would probably find a reason to be nervous anyway – this time, at least, I won’t have to explain why.
Just as the event itself, the fact that it is organised by an Atlanta-based conference is deeply meaningful to me. During his career as a cardiologist, my beloved (Grand)Father also attended a scientific congress in Atlanta. I like to think that remembering this may help ease my nerves and strengthen a thread that has quietly accompanied me throughout my professional journey. One visible expression of that bond is that I dedicated both my Hungarian and English books to him.
At the same time, I would like to dedicate this presentation to István Szabados-Molnár, who facilitated my very first SomatoDrama session and continued to follow my journey for the rest of his life – although today, he does so from somewhere above.
I am deeply grateful for this opportunity and for the trust placed in me.
